Peter Schram is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Political Economics group at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business (GSB). His research combines empirical and microeconomic methods to study of political violence and development, and is structured around three central questions: Why do individuals support militant groups? How do insurgent groups organize and operate? How do multiple insurgent groups, counterinsurgents, and the global community influence each other and the characteristics of conflict? Next year, he will be joining Vanderbilt's Political Science Department as an Assistant Professor.
