Emine Deniz recently got her doctorate in Politics from the WILF Family Department of Politics at New York University, and she will be starting as an Assistant Professor in International Relations at Ozyegin University in Fall 2018. Her research interests are political economy of conflict and development, with a regional focus on Turkey. She explores the micro-level causes and consequences of insurgent conflict, especially in the areas of investment, education, and law. Emine is a research fellow at Global Relations Forum. She holds a B.S in Industrial Engineering and an M.A in Economics from Sabancı University. Before starting graduate school, Emine worked as a financial analyst at Industrial Development Bank of Turkey
